How to Not Make a Sale – 360 DOF

After tomight’s Adamantine Arts meeting, my buddy Dave was talking about how cool it would be to have a SeaDragon based viewer of our monthly exhibitions at SSC starting in January. While this is a cool idea, the software isn’t available to the public. So I was looking for a available cheap 360 view flash panorama viewer.

After finding something promising at 360 degrees of freedom, I decided to make a purchase. When I clicked Add to Cart, I was taken to a “Your cart is empty” error screen. When I went back to try again, I received another error message saying duplicate entry, an sql error.

Being the nice person and understanding developer that I am, I decided to point out their error to them. However, there was no email contact. The best I could find was a directory of self help topics. They should have one entitled, “How do you guys make any money when your store software sucks?” or “How can we trust that your expensive software works when your own website  software doesn’t work?” or “How can I acquire liquidated copies of your software after you go bankrupt?”.

Fix your damn site guys so I can buy your damn product.

Had the same problem…that’s why I switched to http://www.3dvista.com long ago. 360dof had terrible support and I still cannot get on the site today. They just upgraded their flash viewer now, too…
