Misfit Toy Xmas ‘08
Christmas is not one of my more favorite holidays. Last year I was stuck in a snowy wasteland without cigarettes fending off panic attacts over my tailbone surgery the next day. The year before I was home alone trying to figure out what to do about my truck being stolen then night before. Prior to that, I mostly pretended Christmas was just another day since my family didn’t get together on the 25th since my mom always worked.
This year, similar to Halloween, I wanted to do something different for once. So I hosted a little get together that we dubbed “The Misfit Toy Xmas ‘08″. We tried to get all my friends together that didn’t have family to go to or, such as in my case, didn’t get together on Christmas day. Arika, her dog Luna, Mel, Charles, Ivy, and I cooked up a batch of ravioli from scratch, some hot hot hot eye-talian sausages, and a cheesecake. We washed it all down with a fresh batch of Glögg.
After dinner, Mike and Jon came over and we recorded a podcast and then hit up Market BBQ to watch Jobot and Ian make some noise. Finally, we closed down Tracy’s and settled down for a long winter nap. Best Xmas ever!
