Post Turkey Coma

bush_with_turkey.jpg

My friend Jenn told me a joke this evening that some drunk guy told her Native American uncle yesterday:

“hey, hey, if the first indians hadn’t shot a turkey…and instead shot a cat…we’d all be eating pussy tomorrow…HAHAHAHAHH!”

True that. Damn Turkeys! Not only is the Tryptophan making me go into a coma, I don’t have any pussy… err ok.

I’m not going to give you a blow by blow of my Thanksgiving celebration aside from the fact that I spent it with my folks, Matt, Daren and Kristen. There was lots of good food, Brett Farve, pumpkin cheesecake, wedding stuff, and some crazy WWII naval battles…

Yup. I am home now, and going to exercise a bit and perhaps call it a night. I was worried about the family stress causing me to smoke, but my family was actually awesome this time around and so I didn’t smoke the whole trip. Aside from a minor slip up earlier this week, it will be 13 days! Hurray for me.

So what am I thankful for? Well, I am thankful that I finally am going in for surgery. I am thankful I am quitting smoking. I am thankful that I have lots of great supportive friends in my life (even if I suck at maintaining their friendship). I’m thankful to have an awesome family that I don’t mind hanging out with. I am thankful my job rocks. I’m thankful that all the things I would otherwise have to complain about are things I can either control or bring upon myself (like my org, etc). Yup. Life is pretty good right now.
What are you thankful for?

Ok off to ride the bike and watch Charlie Rose. ppppeace

YAY! My joke made it into a blog. What am I thankful for? A million things…friends, family…chocolate…and whirled peas…
