Peeps You Should (maybe) Know of the Day : Uri Geller
I’m starting a segment called - peeps you should (maybe) know of the day. There are a lot of people if have heard names of stumbled upon on Wikipedia that seem interesting in my mind.
Today’s installment is Uri Geller. I first looked up Uri in 2006 on Wikipedia. I had heard the name before and had no idea who the guy was. In short, he is the 70s equivalent of Chris Angel but a lot less goth and a lot more lame. He did party favor tricks like bending spoons, detecting water in cups, and maintaining his career… at least until Johnny Carson got him. Apparently he still has some semblance of a career on washed up celeb-reality shows in the UK.
The only thing that would have made this clip better is if Ed ed McMahon were sitting next to him going “YES! HAAHAHAH”
