Home Ownership is Swell
I wanted to post really quickly about my house situation since people keep asking and I have not really been calling everyone and telling them and such… but yeah, my mortgage went through over the weekend and yesterday I closed on the house. Later that evening my new friend Toni came over to help me celebrate by drinking champagne and smoking cigars on my front steps. It was pretty rad.
Today I got the last of the utilities hooked up. This included USI Wireless Interwebs which won’t be totally working until I receive their modem in 7-10 days. So, that is my ETA to move out of my old place, since I MUST have internet for work and don’t want to be a bum and have to sit at the coffee shop all day - I only do that by choice. haha.
This evening after work, I installed a door bell and a mail box and brought my kitchen rack over and set it up. My friend Julia stopped by for a bit for tea and I showed her the new place. I was hoping she would be the 3rd roommate, but I think her friend is trying to get her to move in with her in uptown. So the hunt for a 3rd roommate continues…
That is all for now. I will post more later in a more coherent manner.
